Trending GitHub repositories for marketing and AI: the 9 of week 44, 2026
SEO skills, social publishing, serial video, voice and security: the 9 trending GitHub repositories of the week useful to an Italian company, with licences and warnings.

Every week GitHub publishes the chart of the fastest-growing projects. For an Italian company most of it is noise: games, experiments, developer tools. Here instead are the repositories of the week with a plausible use in marketing, content and automation, with what they do, who they suit, a concrete use case, the licence and how mature they look.
How we chose
The starting point is this week's GitHub Trending pages (overall, Python and TypeScript), read on 29 October 2026. For each candidate we checked the README, licence, star count and last-commit date. We discarded projects with an unclear licence, games and trading ones, tools meant only for people who write code, and those with warning signs. All star counts are those read on 29 October 2026 and change daily.
The 9 repositories, one by one
AgriciDaniel/claude-seo
AgriciDaniel/claude-seo: A set of skills and agents for Claude Code that audits a website: technical SEO, schema, content, local search and visibility in AI answers. The README lists 26 sub-skills and 19 specialist agents, with a final report sorted by priority.
- Who for: Whoever looks after a company's website (or several clients' sites) and is already comfortable with Claude Code. It is not a one-click tool.
- Use case: A company with a brochure site runs a first technical and structured-data audit before commissioning a redesign, so it reaches the supplier with a list of problems already checked.
- Licence: MIT. Stars: 23,574 (3,516 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 22 October 2026.
- Maturity: Very active and well documented. The 10-15 minute audit time is what the README claims, not our measurement. Audits must be reread by a person: an agent may flag as an error something that is a deliberate choice.
anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins
anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins: An open-source collection of plugins for people who work with documents and information (not developers) in Claude Cowork, Anthropic's product for office work. It is a starting point to copy and adapt to your own processes.
- Who for: Marketing, sales and admin managers, and anyone who wants to see how an AI assistant is structured for a specific role.
- Use case: A marketing team takes a plugin as a model and adapts it to prepare content briefs consistently, with tone of voice and internal checks written once.
- Licence: Apache-2.0. Stars: 33,720 (2,612 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 29 October 2026.
- Maturity: Maintained by the vendor itself and updated today. Permissive licence. It works inside the Claude ecosystem: with other tools it is mostly inspiration.
gitroomhq/postiz-app
gitroomhq/postiz-app: A platform to schedule, automate and analyse social posts. You can use the cloud version or install it on your own server. The README lists Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and others, with a public API, an n8n node and a Make integration.
- Who for: Agencies and teams managing several profiles who want to control where the data lives, or connect post scheduling to automations and AI agents.
- Use case: An agency, or an SME with several locations, connects an n8n flow that prepares post drafts and loads them into the queue, leaving a person to approve before publication.
- Licence: AGPL-3.0. Stars: 40,029 (2,400 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 28 October 2026.
- Maturity: Large and active project, with an official cloud version. Mind the AGPL-3.0 licence: if you modify the code and offer the service to others, you must make the changes available. Self-hosting also means handling updates, backups and the social access tokens.
heygen-com/hyperframes
heygen-com/hyperframes: You write an HTML page and turn it into a video: the project describes itself as “Write HTML. Render video. Built for agents.”. It is designed so that an AI agent composes the video.
- Who for: Anyone who produces many similar videos (promos, recaps, captions, product cards) and has someone able to run a command-line project.
- Use case: A shop generates a “what's new in the window” video every week from its catalogue data, without redoing the edit by hand each time.
- Licence: Apache-2.0. Stars: 74,982 (5,673 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 29 October 2026.
- Maturity: Updated today, permissive licence, backed by a company. It needs technical skills: it does not replace a well-made video from an editor, it is for serial content.
remotion-dev/remotion
remotion-dev/remotion: It lets you create videos with React code: each scene is a component, so videos can be generated in bulk from data.
- Who for: Teams with a developer who want personalised or repetitive videos, for example one per product or per customer.
- Use case: A real-estate agency automatically produces a short video for each listing, with photos, price and address taken from its management system.
- Licence: its own licence (not standard open source). Stars: 68,724 (2,635 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 28 October 2026.
- Maturity: A very mature and active project. Read the licence: the free one covers individuals, for-profit companies with up to 3 employees, non-profits and evaluation; larger companies need a paid licence. GitHub reports it as “NOASSERTION”, i.e. non-standard.
debpalash/VoiceStudio
debpalash/VoiceStudio: An open-source, fully local tool to clone and design voices, dub videos, transcribe and create audiobooks, presented as an ElevenLabs alternative. It claims 646 languages.
- Who for: Anyone producing video, podcasts and audio who wants to keep files and voices on their own computer rather than in a cloud service.
- Use case: A restaurant or hotel transcribes and subtitles its presentation videos locally, without uploading the material to outside services.
- Licence: AGPL-3.0. Stars: 93,407 (12,923 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 29 October 2026.
- Maturity: Very fast growth (12,923 stars in one week) and commits today, but it is a young project: numbers that fast show interest, not reliability. The language count is the project's own claim, not verified by us. Voice cloning requires the consent of the person whose voice is reproduced, and AI-generated content should be disclosed. AGPL-3.0 licence.
mvanhorn/last30days-skill
mvanhorn/last30days-skill: A skill for AI agents that searches a topic across Reddit, X, YouTube, Hacker News, Polymarket and the web and produces a summary with sources.
- Who for: Anyone doing research for content, social and PR: what is being said this month about a topic, a competitor or a product.
- Use case: Before writing a beauty client's editorial plan, the team gathers in an hour what Reddit and YouTube are saying on the topic, with links to check.
- Licence: MIT. Stars: 65,816 (868 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 28 October 2026.
- Maturity: Widely used, MIT licence. It is an automatic summary of public sources: online discussions do not represent your typical customer and every figure must be checked in the links.
microsoft/skill-recorder
microsoft/skill-recorder: A desktop app that records an on-screen work session and reconstructs it as an intent plus an ordered sequence of steps, to build a reusable skill or automation for Microsoft tools (Copilot Cowork, Copilot Studio).
- Who for: Anyone with repetitive, never-written procedures (entering orders, updating a sheet, preparing a report) who wants to document and automate them.
- Use case: An employee records how she enters orders into the management system every day: the result is the written procedure, a starting point for automating it.
- Licence: MIT. Stars: 5,517 (1,187 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 24 October 2026.
- Maturity: From Microsoft, MIT licence, but young and tied to the Microsoft ecosystem. Screen recording also captures customer data, passwords and messages: do it only with the right windows open and with employees informed.
NVIDIA/SkillSpector
NVIDIA/SkillSpector: A security scanner for AI agent skills: it looks for vulnerabilities, malicious patterns, prompt injection, data exfiltration and supply-chain risks in Claude Code, Codex and MCP skills before you install them.
- Who for: Anyone installing skills and plugins found online, including users of the other eight projects in this list.
- Use case: Before installing in the company a skill downloaded from GitHub, you run it through the scanner and decide with whoever handles IT whether to use it.
- Licence: Apache-2.0. Stars: 23,192 (2,222 this week), read on 29 October 2026. Last commit: 29 October 2026.
- Maturity: From NVIDIA, Apache-2.0 licence, updated today. A scanner offers no guarantee: it lowers the risk, it does not remove it.
How to choose and what to watch out for
- Start from a problem, not a repository. If you do not know which process you want to shorten (site audit, scheduled posts, serial video), none of these tools will help.
- Read the licence. MIT and Apache-2.0 are permissive. AGPL-3.0 (Postiz, VoiceStudio) imposes obligations if you modify the code and offer the service to others. Remotion has its own licence with an employee threshold. When in doubt, ask a lawyer before delivering anything to a client.
- Do not trust the stars. Thousands of stars in seven days show interest, not solidity. Look at the last-commit date, open issues and who maintains the project.
- Skills and plugins are code and instructions your agent will run with your permissions: they can read files, use keys and call services. Install only from sources you know, have them checked and try them on a separate computer or account.
- Think about data. Where do customer texts, recordings and social keys end up? With a local or self-installed service you control them, but you take on updates and backups. If you handle personal data, involve whoever deals with privacy.
- Start small. One flow, one person approving, one number to measure (hours saved, errors), then decide whether to extend.
Where +Click comes in
These repositories are ingredients. The real work is deciding which process to automate, connecting it to the tools the company already has (email, CRM, management system, WhatsApp, social), putting human control in the right places and measuring the result. That is the part we do with our custom automations and AI agents, using n8n and in-house development. In this article we do not claim to use these repositories: we selected them as observers.
Frequently asked questions
What is GitHub Trending?
It is the GitHub page listing the repositories receiving the most stars in a day, week or month, filterable by language. It measures the speed of growing interest, not quality.
Can I use these repositories in a company for free?
It depends on the licence. MIT and Apache-2.0 allow commercial use. AGPL-3.0 allows it but imposes obligations if you modify the code and offer the service to others. Remotion is free for individuals and for-profit companies with up to 3 employees and requires a paid licence for larger companies.
Do I need a programmer to use them?
For almost all of them yes, at least for the initial installation: they are tools for developers or for people using command-line agents. Postiz also has an official cloud version for those who do not want to install anything.
How do I know if an AI agent skill is safe?
You cannot be certain. Read what it asks to do, check who maintains it and the date of the last update, try it in a separate environment and scan it with a tool such as NVIDIA's SkillSpector, built to look for malicious behaviour and data-leak risks.
How often do you update this list?
Every week, based on the GitHub Trending chart. The stars shown are those read on the stated date and change day by day.
Want to know which automation makes sense for your company?
Tell us about a repetitive process that costs you time: together we will see whether it can be automated with n8n or a custom AI agent, what it costs and where a person needs to check. If it does not make sense, we will tell you.
